Seasonal Bee Inspector Adam Parker Talk

Are you a bee keeper or interested in becoming one, then don’t miss the opportunity to hear Gwent Seasonal Bee Inspector Adam Parker talk about hive hygiene and the do’s and don’ts of bee keeping.

The talk followed by discussion will be held on:

Tuesday, 12th February

6pm to 8.30pm at Caerphilly Visitor Centre, The Twyn, Caerphilly CF83 1JL

Refreshments will be served from 6pm

The talk is taking place as part of the Rural Development Programme BEES project, standing for breeding, environment, education and skills sharing. The project is made up of three local action groups (LAGs) delivering the LEADER Rural Development Programme in South East Wales and is a cooperation between Cwm a Mynydd, Rural Action Cwm Taf and the Vale of Usk LAGs.  It has run for three years and ends this June.

The project has brought bee keepers from across South East Wales together to share their knowledge and experience with new bee keepers, it aims to improve queen bee breeding skills and to raise awareness on the world of bee keeping and the importance of honey bees as pollinators.
